Board Games

The plan for today was...to wake up early and head down to Sentosa do the 'Sun, Sand and the Sea' nonsense. Unfortunately it was raining non stop and hence that obviously didnt happen. So we had to wreck our brains to come up with an alternate activity which was to play boardgames at minds cafe. It sounds like a very easy, relaxing and non threatening activity huh?...well THINK AGAIN. It was difficult, suffocating and PAINFUL to be exact! WHY? BECOZ I PLAYED WITH MY BUNCH OF CANNOT STOP TALKING AND VERY RARELY SMART FRIENDS.We played the following games:

Fruit addition
This game required us to add the same fruits up to 5. Sounds easy? NOT when the fruits looks so freaking similar. and when you have to hit a bell to win. Massie, the over excited player ...keeps hitting it! If there was a forfiet she would have lost like kezillion times!

Ugly monsters
This one is very similar to the above. All we have to do is turn over the scattered cards on the table and snap on three same monsters. Souns easy? Well its not! AGAIN everything looks freaking the same to me! And ya I LOST!

Trivia
Due to our lack of knowledge about a country called the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...we cant play the game as our only answers would be....Eeeeeerrrr huh?!

Taboo
This one was quite fun. Other than the occasional 'Dammit', "F*&k', 'S*^t' and all words not nice, due to us uttering the taboo words...it was quite entertaining to see each of us using body language, cracking our brains and pointing out things ard us to get each other to utter the answers.

Cluez
Due to the eeeeeewww-ness of the pieces of platercine we were suppose to use during the game and the very veeeeerrrryyy complex instructions given to us. We decided to skip this game and moce on to the next better game.

Animal sound
This one...now this one was a killer. I almost died due to the lack of air. This is similar to the game of snap. However this game require us to select an animal and came up with its sound. The more complex the sound the better. When two person draws the same animal, the frist person to say out the sound of the other person wins.Our selections and sounds are as folllows:

Jujubie: Cat - Me Ah Ow

Rammie: Donkey - He Hor (Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sooooo complex!!!!)

Nin: Owl - Wo Hoo

Massie: (ANNOYINGLY ENUF) Sheep - Ba eh eh eh eh! (Please note...this sound is made up of FIVE freaking parts....What the hell)

No one can get it MASSIE's one ryte. She kept winning! Hence we decided we need to change the rest of the animal sounds to make it more complex...to level the chances for all of us. Due to majority vote ...changes were as follows:

Jujubie: Cat - Mee Ah Ah Ow (My cat turned oriental, thanx to the way Massie's pronunciation)

Rammie: Donkey - Hee Hor Hee Hor Hee Hor (Again waaaaaaaaaaa soooo complex)

Nin: Owl - Woohooooo (Excited owl...erm no make that VERY excited owl)

The game went on and Massie beagn to loose and she kept bugging to let her change her sound into ....Baa EH eh EH eh (Caps indicate that the sound is louder than the rest). The sound has to be accompanied by the movement of the eyebrow up and down....it was all too complex for any of us to understand and so majority voted to turn her down. WHICH WE DID! It was bad enuf that we laugh too histerically when it comes to verballizing the stupid animal sounds...I dun think any of us can survive through make the sound AND carrying out the facial actions as well!

GAP
This game require us to read out a phrase in the card that is totally nonsensical. What we are suppose to do is to decifer the phrase and come up with a sensible phrase that sounds similar to the one being read. ONLY ...I repeat ONLY Rammie can read the phrase and have any of us guess the actual phrase! When the rest of us reads them...it was total gibberish!

Sleeping queen
Now this one...was one boring game which we really made effort to play. We read the instructions, carried it out step by step...but I think towards the middle we sorta came up wit our own rules and simply played the game till time was up....

All in all we had great fun and a tad of stomach cramps....eating and laughing...soooooooo do not go well together!
