Animal Facts

Polar Bear
When someone ask you what is the colour of a polar bear, I bet the first colour that comes into your mind is WHITE. You are soooooo wrong! Apparently the fur of a polar bear is actually translucent. Being translucent, it allows light to go through and the skin of the polar bear which btw is greyish black, will absorb the heat from the light, keeping the cuddly creature warm. The fur is also hollow which allows it to trap air as to contribute to keeping the polar bear warm.

White Tiger
Do you know that the white tiger is not a species? It is actually tiger with recessive genes aka it is a genetically flawed orange tiger! To date, only ONE white tiger have been found and caught from the wild. So how come there are THREE white tigers in the Singapore Zoo?(WARNING: the faint of heart please do not read...it is quite EEEWWW....you have been warned!) Well, they got the original white tiger, Mohan, to mate with an orange tiger and the two couple produced a female. Unfortunately, since the orange is the dominant gene, the baby girl, turned out to be orange. So where did the other white tigers come into existence then??!! Well, here comes the icky part....they then mated Mohan with his daughter! And since his daughter has both dominant and recessive genes, there is 50/50 chance that a white baby is produced! So conclusion....ALL the white tigers in the world are descendents of ONE male white tiger, MOHAN! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... its Anicest!

Tarantula

How many tarantulas do you see? I bet you said 6! Well you are wrong...there are only ONE. You see a tarantula changes their exteroir as a whole..its like a shell. So their exterior is like a shell. Whenever they get bigger, they will crawl out of their old shell. They open a hatch on top and juz crawl out!!! So cute!
Giraffe
You know how like most animals, we walk with our left arm forwad and our right leg forward at the same time and vice versa? Well the giraffe walk with left front leg and left back leg forward at the same time and right front leg and right back leg forward at the same time... QUICK try it!
